My June west coast trips started out with a bang. I landed in Phoenix and it was 110 degrees. I took an Uber to the hotel, checked-in, and I was immediately on my way to Chase Field. The Arizona Diamondbacks graciously gave me two tickets to batting practice, so I invited a fellow Ballpark Stampeder, Stacey Flores. I took pictures around the stadium until she arrived, and then we checked in. Upon checking in, we were escorted down to the field to watch batting practice. Based on my last couple batting practice, I didn't expect much as far as autographs were concerned but we got a lot. Paul Goldschmidt, Jake, Lamb, Brandon Drury, Chris Owings, Nick Ahmed, and more all came over and graciously signed. Towards the end of BP, Stacey told me that we had to give back our field passes. With that in mind, and scrapbook in mind, we told the guard that we were going to the bathroom and we would be right back. We didn't return. Stacey works at Chase Field in the summer and she knew everyone and took me behind the scenes and into the homeplate clubs. She had to leave for an appointment so I stayed underneath until the game started. Once the game started I took my seats and watched a great game. Arizona got off to a fast start and never looked back. Diamondbacks WIN! Arizona 7 - San Diego 4
