San Diego Padres - Petco Park - Ballpark 11

The morning after the Diamondbacks game, I boarded a 8am flight to San Diego, California. I think I may have gotten 4 hours of sleep. Once I landed, I checked into my AirBNB in the Gaslamp District. I worked the entire day and then because of the time change, I was out by 3pm local time. I decided to go to Petco and take pictures early around the ballpark and tour San Diego. The next day was game day. The Padres graciously donated tickets and batting practice tickets to me. I got there 2.5 hours before game time and checked in. After being escorted out to the field, I was put in a corral. It was much different than other ballparks. The intern stayed with me and told me no autographs so I wasn't too sure what to do when Will Myers, Trevor Hoffman, and Mark McGwire came over. I didn't ask for autographs at all. I feared the intern would yell at me. She told me I had exactly one hour to watch, and she stayed there the entire time. After exactly an hour I was escorted off the field. I went to explore Petco Park. I've been hearing by many it was one of the best ballparks and it definitely didn't disappoint. While doing so, I also met KC Royals great, Mike Sweeney. There was a beer fest in the outfield so I went to go check it out. The view from the outfield was awesome. You can watch the entire game from the hill if you wanted. I went to go explore more checking out their hall of fame, and statues around the park before stamping in.

Once I got to my seats, lower level behind the Padres dugout, I quickly made friends and told them what I was doing. Some lady offered up her ticket stub too me since I just had an eTicket. I enjoyed the company and in the end, the Padres won! San Diego 6 - Kansas City 3
